LABELIT POISON FOUNDATION (IF IT HAS A WARNING ... LABELIT POISON
Common Household Products

The following is a list of products that are commonly found in the household. Each container should be closely checked for warning labels. If there are any warnings or signal words on a product label, it should be marked with a Labelit Poison Sticker "Bones" as a POISON for easy identification by the elderly and the young. The POISON symbol is also a warning for adults to use such products discriminately, with extreme caution and only when there is not a safe alternative available. Remember, IF IT HAS A WARNING ... LABELIT POISON.

It is very important to know what ingredients are contained in a product so that you can adequately protect yourself from the dangers of working with that product. However, in order to protect trade secrets, manufacturers do not always list a product's ingredients, nor are they always required to list harmful ingredients.

Therefore, let signal words such as DANGER, WARNING, and CAUTION serve as a guide and IF IT HAS A WARNING, LABELIT POISON.

Be especially careful with products that say they are "disinfectant," "antibacterial," or "anatomicals" -- they usually contain pesticides.
